MPs are expected to be banned next year from working as consultants or advisers to companies after erring MPs were sniffed out and discovered by Fido, the Parliamentary standards watchdog, to have deliberately, and with criminality aforethought, broken lobbying rules.

Lobbying sins besides, since the 2019 election 123 MPs have spent 695 hours carrying out 1,040 surveys - earning more than £116,000 quid.

The standards watchdog's research discovered that 12 SNP MPs had profited from the 'survey game' – with Patrick Grady, the SNP rep' for Glasgow North, earning the most since the last election, being paid £3,560 for 20 hours work - the equivalent of £176 quid per hour.

Grady's SNP colleague, Angus constituency MP 'Dodgy Dave' Doogan, spent the greatest time doing surveys - more than 35 hours, and averaging £78 nicker an hour.

But the highest hourly rate paid to an MP was £354, with Labour's shadow justice minister Alex Cuntingham earning £1,950 for just over 5 hours work - and purportedly donating the money to his local party coffers.

Labour's equally sleazy shadow solicitor general, 'Smelly Ellie' Reeves, earned £3,145 for 18 hours work - a rate of £172 per hour - with a mere token £275 donated to charity.

Some MPs earned large sums for a few minutes of work, including the Tory Nasty Party MP for Reigate, Crispy Cunt, who was paid £50 for a five minute survey, £75 for a 10 minute survey and £125 for a 15 minute survey, among his £2,505 earnings pocketed from Ipsos Mori.

His Tory colleague, Andrew Selous, also earned £200 for a 20 minute survey from YouGov, but reportedly donated the money to the Andrew Selous Benevolent Fund charity.

Not to be felt left out of the sleazy survey top ten, Laurence Robertson, the Tory MP for Tewkesbury, came in as the highest paid Tory MP with £3,495 nicker pocketed for 17 hours graft.

Conversely, the largest payment for a single survey went to Labour's ginger-mingin Judith Cummins, who earned £300 for a 45 minute survey conducted by Renta-a-Twat.
