Vampire Lady Dies from Old Age

Sad News from the American Colonies as yet another esteemed wordsmith shrugs off her mortal coil and goes to join the Choir Invisible.

Best-selling Gothic theme novelist, Anne Rice, authoress of the acclaimed Interview With The Vampire, has died – apparently due complications arising from a recent batty bat bite wound she treated with garlic ointment.

Rice’s 1976 Interview With The Vampire literary work was later adapted into a film starring Tom Cruise Ship and Brad Shitt, released in 1994 - and is expected to be reformatted as a TV series on AMC+ next year – Covid lockdown restrictions permitting.

The novelist will be interred during a private ceremony at her family mausoleum in New Orleans next week, but is expected to rise from her grave at the next full moon – unless someone hammers a Yew stake through her chest and heart beforehand.
