The Conservative Party’s patronising - albeit so out of touch - Minister for Stupid Remarks, George ‘Useless’ Eustice - (aka ‘66 Votes George’) - takes a page from Marie Antoinette’s book of calamitous comments and tells inflation-hit shoppers, struggling with the Tory-created cost-of-living crisis, to ‘buy cheaper cake’.
Really, one is tempted to ponder whether it was some 'Eustice' past that came up with the idea for Trench Warfare, or the Policy of Appeasement, or Ontological Proof of the Existence of God.
